Lin.

[00:00:40] the first spot on our list is the most
[00:00:42] common type chemical based sunscreen
[00:00:45] chemical sunscreen is an ingredient that

[00:00:58] into heat dr. Lin says that it blocks
[00:01:01] what are called UVB rays the kind that
[00:01:03] burn your skin but you need to apply 30

[00:01:32] they're broad-spectrum
[00:01:33] so they can block out the ultraviolet
[00:01:37] rays in the UVA and UVB range the UVA
[00:01:40] rays are the kind that prematurely age
[00:01:42] your skin dr. Lin says a good way to
[00:01:45] remember this is UVA rays age and UVB
[00:01:49] rays burn
[00:01:52] we'll close out our class on sunscreen
[00:01:54] 101 with the best of both worlds
[00:01:57] hybrid sunscreen which is both chemical
[00:02:00] and physical the label will say
[00:02:02] broad-spectrum by combining a physical
[00:02:05] sunscreen with some of the chemical
[00:02:06] sunscreens the consumers are more
[00:02:08] assured of having broad-spectrum
[00:02:10] protection and longer-lasting protection
[00:02:13] and more water resistant protection dr.
[00:02:16] Lin says no matter what you choose that
[00:02:18] SPF 30 and above is a must and to use it
[00:02:22] often I urge everyone to make it a
[00:02:25] routine and a habit every morning to
[00:02:27] always put on some sunscreen before you
[00:02:30] head out the door regardless of whether
[00:02:32] you think you're gonna be out in the Sun
[00:02:34] for an extended period time or not
