\"Los rojos, blancos y azules\": un nombre bonito para una mutaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica que es cualquier cosa menos bonita. La enfermedad de Darier, como se conoce cl\u00ednicamente, es una afecci\u00f3n cut\u00e1nea hereditaria caracterizada por manchas en el cuerpo similares a verrugas.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>

\"Una mujer de mediana edad present\u00f3 una erupci\u00f3n cut\u00e1nea que empeoraba progresivamente desde hac\u00eda 25 a\u00f1os. La erupci\u00f3n era maloliente y sensible, y se presentaba sim\u00e9tricamente en los pliegues del abdomen y la parte inferior de las piernas. Su historial m\u00e9dico era significativo de trastorno depresivo mayor. Hab\u00eda sido atendida por varios psiquiatras en los \u00faltimos 10 a\u00f1os y hab\u00eda estado hospitalizada en centros psiqui\u00e1tricos por episodios psic\u00f3ticos agudos.<\/p>

Admiti\u00f3 que dos de sus cinco hermanos ten\u00edan problemas cut\u00e1neos similares y que, adem\u00e1s, a ambos se les hab\u00edan diagnosticado trastornos del estado de \u00e1nimo, como trastorno bipolar y trastorno depresivo mayor. La paciente declar\u00f3 que los otros tres hermanos estaban sanos. En la exploraci\u00f3n, la paciente presentaba placas de p\u00e1pulas confluentes y manchas malolientes y exudativas que se distribu\u00edan por los pliegues del t\u00f3rax y el abdomen, as\u00ed como por las superficies de flexi\u00f3n de las extremidades inferiores bilaterales.\"<\/p><\/blockquote>
